Meet Jake
I'm Jake Perusich, the photographer behind Nox Velum. I make alt, editorial and fashion photographs with models and artists across Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota.
A shoot works best when everyone in it has real creative control, so the person in front of the camera helps decide what we make and how they're seen. We also agree on how the images get used before anything is shared.
A lot of the people I shoot with become friends and repeat collaborators. If something here gives you an idea, I'd love to hear it.

How a shoot works
Read the model call →Start with a conversation
Bring your idea, or ask to hear mine. We talk through the concept and your boundaries first. Any experience level is welcome, and you don't need a portfolio.
Agree on the terms
We settle usage rights and credit before the shoot, so nothing is a surprise. Trade (TFP) collaborations are welcome. All collaborators must be 18 or older.
Make something
Then we make the pictures together, with your ideas in the mix the whole way. When the work goes up here, you're credited by name, with a link to your work if you have one.
