Cast someone who lives it

Vic is a long time friend of mine, based in Montana, who models as @therealvicvinegar. When she came to visit, we set up a gamer girl shoot at my house.

The outfit was the basic gamer girl fit: underwear and a T-shirt. Everything else was already true. Vic has years of experience gaming in this exact setup, so she never had to pretend. She knows how a person actually sits with a controller, and she killed it.

Basic lights are enough

All of the color here comes from basic LED lights with gels. I shot on a Viltrox 27mm at f/1.2 or f/1.4 and ISO 2000 to 3200, which is plenty for a room this dark. If you have a couple of lights, some gels and an idea, you have enough to make something.
